XC-Ski Easter Weekend 2015
There’s plenty of great cross country skiing left across New York! This weekend will see areas with 100% coverage and some surprisingly good skiing for April. Weather forecasts are calling for (finally) some warm temperatures before the weekend – then things get interesting, at least for the Northern areas. Snow is likely late Friday night into Saturday with the potential for several inches to near a foot of new snow. A cold front for Sunday will preserve mid-winter snow surfaces for Easter Sunday – get out and enjoy it!
Open areas will include Lapland Lake in Benson, Mt. Van Hoevenberg in Lake Placid, Garnet Hill Lodge in North River, and Osceola Tug Hill in Camden, NY.
